An athlete on the courts and at the tables, New York Law School collegian Eugene Castro enjoys a life rich in competition and sporting endeavors. Castro, a top-ranked junior tennis competitor during his younger years, played with and led as captain The City College of New York’s varsity men’s tennis team. Eugene Castro is an ex-participator of the professional tennis satellite circuit, and lent his knowledge of the sport to several tennis clubs as head pro. A resident of Holmdel, New Jersey, Eugene Castro is married to a relationship and family therapist. Castro and his wife have two lovely daughters, Karma Gene and Katie Gene, who enjoy playing with the family’s German Shepherd Dexter. Eugene Castro enjoys playing basketball in his free time. Drawing on his experience as a professional poker player, Eugene Castro co-founded Poker Players International. Using his strong business acumen, Castro serves as Business Development Leader of PPI. Along with founding partner Randall S. Kasper, Esq., Eugene Castro assists some of professional poker’s major stars, including Robert Mizrachi, Matt Glantz, and Kathy Liebert, in finding sponsors and endorsements deals. With two and a half decades of card playing background, Eugene Castro went professional in 2007 and has since won a number of first-place awards at poker tournaments around the country, amassing prize monies of over $500,000. Imbued with a competitive spirit, Eugene Castro successfully launched and presided over a variety of business ventures. From 2003 to 2007, Castro opened and served as President of the Sound Sleep Center in Maple Grove, Minnesota, the largest independent sleep diagnostic facility in the Midwest. From 2004 to 2008, Eugene Castro invested in undeveloped land in Romania through Sun Rom Investitii. Castro’s good judgment and led to an appreciated return of 120 percent.
